Catch the enjoyable London Westend premiere, American Idiot at the Arts Theatre! The Tony award winning Green Day musical stars the X-Factor finalist Amelia Lily. In the year 1987, the wonderful collaboration of Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt formed an American Punk Rock Band, Green Day. The band enjoyed huge success with the sale of more than 75 million records across the world.

The blockbuster musical features chartbusting compositions by Green Day, where lyrics are penned by Billie Joe Armstrong an book authored by Armstrong and Michael Mayer. The sensational show has been expanded from the concept of band album, which is a rock opera having similar name.

The Band has reportedly been inspired a lot from The Who and several other musicals such as esus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Show. American Idiot is the saga of three suburban youths Johnny, Will, and Tunny. After the horrific incident of 9/11, all of them are looking for meaning in their lives.Both Johnny and Tunny escape to the city, whereas Will stay with his pregnant girlfriend.

American Idiot is the roller coaster ride of the lives of all three boys. The show has also won Grammy for the Best Musical show album in the year 2010 and features some chartbusting musical numbers such as “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “21 Guns,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” “Holiday” and of course “American Idiot”.

The one hour and thirty five minutes show is directed and choreographed by Racky Plews. The blockbuster show made its debut in the year 2010 at Berkley Reparatory Theatre and later transferred to Broadway!
